COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My one and only couchsurfing experience was only experienced tangentally - I was in Madrid (I had my own bed!) visiting a friend who was studying abroad. A backpacker came for a visit. Friend of a friend...he ended up on the couch for about ten days - might have even still been there when my friend moved back home! Well, who wants to give up a good couch?

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Bergman, Fassbinder, Haneke, Breillaut, Dumont, Allen, Ashby, Roeg - a crazy assortment of genius directors. No particular genre, no particular order -- just artists with a singular vision. Music, too. Though I lean heavily in the alt-country direction and am thrilled with the Vancouver scene at this particular moment. Reading...lots of stuff about Africa, Russia...history with the odd work of fiction thrown in. I think Philip Roth is a genius, for instance.
