Live and continue growing, traveling, and experiencing
Born in Canada, raised from the age of 7 in Memphis, TN. Meandered in Urbana, IL for 2 years, returned to Memphis to finish my Computer Science degree, kicked it around Portland for a year, and just made the move to the Vancouver area at the beginning of May 2014.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Back in 2007 I lived in a collective house where we hosted over 250 couchsurfers. We had one night where we had 15 couchsurfers staying. So I've been heavily involved with couchsurfing for a while, but didn't actually get to surf much until my HUGE road trip from June 15th to August 10th, 2012! For posterity's sake and for my own recollection, these are the cities I visited:
Dallas, TX (couchsurfed)
Austin, TX (couchsurfed and friends)
San Antonio, TX
Albuquerque, NM (friend)
Flagstaff, AZ (couchsurfed)
Sedona, AZ (couchsurfed)
Las Vegas, NV (couchsurfed)
Los Angeles, CA (couchsurfed)
San Jose, CA (couchsurfed and stayed with my brother)
San Francisco, CA (could not find a host here, I actually just stayed in Oakland)
Oakland, CA (friends [one of whom is also on Couchsurfing])
Salinas, CA (couchsurfed)
Arcata, CA (storytime)
Portland, OR (couchsurfed)
Seattle, WA (couchsurfed)
Salt Lake City (couchsurfed)
Moab, UT (hostel)
Las Vegas, again (couchsurfed)
Breckenridge, CO (friend)
Denver, CO (friend)
St. Louis, MO (friend)
Chicago, IL (friends)
With the exception of one surfer, everyone I have met through CS (and every couchsurfer I have had the pleasure of crossing paths with outside of couchsurfing) has enriched my couchsurfing experience and my life in one way or another.
Peace, vegan and vegetarian cuisine, love, collective effort, long-distance biking, finding use for other peoples' usable waste, poetry, Food Not Bombs, inclusiveness, music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love traveling to see the music I love and I suppose some of the most amazing experiences I've had have been at music festivals.. I've been to Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, Moogfest, as well as many smaller festivals, underground psytrance festivals, and massive raves, but Ultra Music Festival 2011 was probably one of the best experiences I've had in my life!
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to try to figure out how to veganize vegetarian and even meat dishes!
I know a thing or two about computers and would most likely be happy to share what I know, whether there's something you want to learn or something you need help with.
I can also share travelling stories.
