ABOUT ME

Currently, I work as a field engineer on offshore oil rigs in Angola.

I am from Arizona and miss the heat of the Sonoran desert. In my quest for adventure, I have been skydiving, bike riding in Mendoza, horse back riding in the Andes, hiking at Iguazu, tango dancing in Buenos Aires, and canyoneering in the Superstition Mountains. Other adventures include several trips to Disneyland, packing parachutes at the World Freefall Convention, an impromptu trip to San Francisco, and a journey to Las Vegas with my grandmother just to ride the roller coasters.

I watch sports of all types, but college baseball is my favorite, especially when the Arizona State SunDevils play. I am also always game to play a bout of ping pong.

When I get the chance, I travel the world. Trips at the top of the list include: skiing in the Alps, adventuring in Indonesia and a grand road trip to finally see the sights in the USA.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an adventure. The goal is to have as many unique experiences as possible. For me, that required taking a job half a world away from home in an industry in which I had no previous experience. I enjoy the unpredictable, always changing nature of this career thus far. If you get bored, you are doing it wrong.

I'm driven to learn as much as possible and am happiest when the subject matter is diverse. In that regard, my job fits like a glove. Mathematics, chemistry, physics, geology and snippets of other disciplines all are incorporated in the technical knowledge necessary to exceed at this job.

Success lies in always doing your very best work and contributing more than the average effort. Maintaining an open and honest relationship with yourself and others is key to monitoring your own performance and happiness. I have always set very high standards for myself and am not satisfied until I exceed my own goals.

I have spent too much time living the life of a student, learning without producing. It's time to get dirty and make something real.
