Overview
About Me
This year I will be travelling to Seattle one weekend per month to take a course there. I'm taking a Coaching training program through Accomplishment Coaching. I would be open to a home trade (my downtown condo in Victoria for someone's place close to downtown Seattle) for those weekends if anyone is interested.
I will be in school on Saturday and Sunday from approximately 9am-6pm (sometimes 9-5, sometimes 10-6). Arriving Friday evening, leaving Monday morning.
I'm highly social but also very independent. I can happily explore on my own or with others. Known for my infectious laugh :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've often hosted people travelling from out of town when they come for Fringe theatre, swing dancing, blues dancing, or I randomly meet a traveler somewhere and they were planning on sleeping in their car and I think that's no way to see my city!
I've toured with the Fringe Festival circuit and have often relied on the kindness of strangers. While I have not been connected to any of these experiences through couchsurfing, it's a similar experience.
Interests
Theatre, music, dance, and live events of all kinds - I love attending and working on shows and festivals!
Swing and blues dance keep me busy.
I love to cycle and hike and walk.
Tasty food! Tea! Delicious wine.
Fun of all kinds.
Board games, reading, and painting when I'm feeling mellow.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love a wide range of music. My heart always seems to be caught the most by folk and roots music these days. Some favourites include: The Wailin' Jennys, Whitehorse, Civil Wars, Amelia Curran, Jill Barber, Matthew Barber, Dire Straits, Parov Stellar, and Mark Farina.
Not a huge movie watcher (I spent so much time going out to live shows that I forget about movies except for a handful of times a year.) But some of my very favourites are Labyrinth, Cave of Forgotten Dreams, Pina, and Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
Hard to pick favourite books. A few of my favourites include: The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver. Tree: A Life Story by David Suzuki. The War of Art by Steven Pressfield.
