To improve the global stereotype of American tourists, one vacation at a time.
My husband and I have been together ten years, and one overwhelming similarity that we've found in each other is our love of travel. This envelops many aspects of travel - meeting new people, eating outstanding food, seeing sights, architecture, and art, and of course, simply enjoying some relaxation.
Always be learning, teaching, eating, drinking, and making friends.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're huge fans of CouchSurfing. Sometimes life gets a little too hectic and crazy for us to host anyone, but we are always up for showing people around or recommending off-the-beaten-path sightseeing.
We have surfed in two locations: Koblenz, Germany and Munich, Germany. We had such amazing, positive experiences with the friends we made in those places, that we have recommended this site and its services to anyone we know who are planning on traveling abroad. Years after our European adventure, we still keep in touch with our Koblenz host. He has become one of our closest friends!
We love: music, art, watching soccer (futbol, football) - well, Jason does -, eating, eating, eating, drinking beer, going wine tasting, dancing to 80's pop music, reading, visiting places we've never been, and those that we've been 100 times before, spending time in the outdoors, running, yoga, small concerts, engaging conversation, movies, sleeping in on Sundays, and meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: We always have music on at house and are constantly searching for something new and interesting. Don't have a favorite band/genre but we do have posters for Velvet Underground, Iggy Pop, Man Man, Rogue Wave, and TV on the Radio hanging in our living room.
Movies: We'll watch it all. Jason is a filmmaker and typically playing unusual and experimental movies from around the world.
Books: Lauren is the avid reader in this duo and her favorite fiction genres are fantasy, historical fiction, sci-fi, and sweet books with a romantic edge. Again, though, there are so many. There are so many books on my reading list, there's no way I'll ever get to them all.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jason: I saw the Aurora Borealis when I spent a summer in a Alaska.
Lauren: My favorite amazing thing was learning to fly on a trapeze. It's not something I would have ever imagined having an opportunity for, and it was extremely challenging. But I LOVED it, and I'd do it every day if I could.
Teach, Learn, Share
Jason can definitely share a thing or two about filmmaking, graphic design, modern art, soccer, and music.
Lauren loves to teach about the amazing capabilities of the human body, medicine, baking, and crafting.
