ABOUT ME

Hey there! My name is Hong and I've grown up here in small town Adelaide.
I'm currently finishing off my pharmacy degree however, the bigger goal is to take my pharmacy background and volunteering passion to provide healthcare services to those living in remote communities in third world countries! But enough of this rambling...
I LOVE to travel and each year I always choose a country which has inspired me- this maybe through a documentary, travel blog or photo that I've stumbled across.

I'm the type of person that would catch multiple buses in order to wait in line for the best local burger bar that I've read about. Set multiple alarms in order to chase the morning sunrise with my kayak!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm actually new to the whole couch surfing experience. Was first told about it while traveling by a fellow backpacker in South East Asia, who has couch surfed all around the world.
I would ideally love to host when I can, crash on a couch when travelling and meet amazing people along the way.

Interests

I love the great outdoors, from hiking in the hills or kayaking at the beach. Love to find new cool restaurants or cafes or even catch a live band play at a local.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering is a huge passion of mine, this maybe supporting a winter food drive for a local charity or volunteering as a mentor for disadvantage children.

5.30am Alms Giving in Luang Prabang was such an experience to witness, however was very disappointed by the way tourist have ruined such a sacred tradition!!

Have to put it it, bungee jumping in Queens Town, New Zealand. AMAZING!!
