I work as a researcher at the university. I am dedicated to the field of natural sciences, specifically to the river restoration. It is something that excites me and also allows me to move and know other places. I spent a good part of my life in Galicia, a small country located NW of Spain, with its own culture and language. It is not easy to talk about yourself but if I have to define myself, I would say that I like to be very present in what I do every moment (sorry, today I'm a bit philosophical ...!)

For trying another way to stay and learn more about the local environment, the people who live there. Maybe I'm looking to get away from the tourist boom we're in right now.

A few movies: Las voces del Pamano (Spanish), The Godfather (I & II), Philadelphia, documentaries (nature and social).

A few books (complicated choice...!): travel books (eg by Javier Reverte (from Africa, Amazonas, Yukon River ...), Ryszard Kapuściński with Ebano or Joseph Conrad the Heart of Darkness), from ecology (Fields and Streams: Stream Restoration, Neoliberalism, and the Future of Environmental Science by Rebecca Lave, Silent Spring by Rachel Carson), history and socio-economic justice books (The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein, If this is a man by Primo Levi or Open Veins of Latin America: Five Centuries of the Pillage of to Continent by Eduardo Galeano). And many others that now do not come to mind ... Also novels, local stories or some poetry by Luís García Montero.

Music ... I do not have a defined style, I think I like all kinds of music, each one for its moment. It sounds general but, at least in my case, it's like that. I can hear Gregorian chants as much as heavy metal! However, if I have to say a guy I think pop-rock but also singer-songwriters (many from Latin America).
