About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take opportunities as they come....

ABOUT ME

1. I live in a house completely made out of used tires.

2. #1 is a lie

3. Growing up my family had 3 llamas.

2. My favorite shirt which was orange and said "squirrels gone wild" got lost in the mail. I bought a knock-off, but it's just not the same.

PHILOSOPHY

TBD....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am still new at this, I am looking to open my home up to new people and my life up to new experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I have never hosted strangers, I was contacted by an acquaintance who's boyfriend's band was passing through town. Though I had never met him or the other members, I had an extra mattress and couch so they crashed on my floor for the night. It was fun and random.

Interests

I'm interested in creating. I love making various objects to decorate my spaces or myself.

  • architecture
  • design
  • graphic design
  • running
  • skiing

Music, Movies, and Books

meh, I prefer to interact with real people, but I partake in all aforementioned topics, occasionally. I go out with my friends to a chick flick, rock out to 80's music where ever I am, and I don't read much but I'm addicted to podcasts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My friend and I went skiing in Austria. On our last run (on our way to catch a bus to our hostel and hour away) we were misled by a sign and ended up on a cross country ski trail amongst small farms. We went up to the door of one of the farms and I said (in broken German) "We were skiing and now we are here" She replied, (from what I could understand) "there is a bus you can take back to the base, but I will give you a ride" she loaded us into her tiny car and gave us a ride. This experience while not particularly amazing, demonstrated the amazing kindness of strangers.

Teach, Learn, Share

At this moment Feb. 17th, 2009 11:38 PM I would love to learn how to recover lampshades. But who knows what whim will strike next? I love learning any new skill. Furthermore, I am happy to teach anything I know. I make jewelry. I went to school for Architecture, Graphic Design and Hospitality Management. I am a LEED AP. I know lots of things, but mostly there are a million more things I don't know.
