About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To live and to love!
ABOUT ME
I am a mom of two very young children.l, and a third to enter our lives at the end of May 2016. Hosting at this times is near impossible, and for that I'm sorry.
I am Latvian and naturalized U.S. citizen. I love to knit, run, watch TV and cook. I lived most of my life believing that I am good for nothing but sitting on a couch and knitting. Recently, I discovered that I can run, bike, hike, lift weights and even ski. I have now run a marathon and have mothered two children. I am strong willed and straight forward. If you stay at my house, most likely I will cook you dinner and offer a beer.
PHILOSOPHY
God does not exist.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My husband Ryan and I have a huge house and we would like to share it with others. We have a lot of room for people to sleep and to chill out. We do travel quite a bit and would like to take advantage of the CS and meet with other people as well.
Since joining CS, we now have two young children. We do still offer a room for surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have been lucky to host some amazing people in our house, and also to stay with others around the country. We love meeting new people, hang out and learn about their CS and life experiences. The greatest reward is to host returning couch surfers!
Interests
I love football, reading books and my animals. I don’t know if my husband counts as an “interest” but I find him infinitely interesting and love spending time with him – talking work, politics, books etc.
My greatest interests are my son Magnus and my daughter Arija.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have birthed two children.
I have run a marathon, I trained for it starting at zero miles. I truly believe that anyone can do it, if I can do it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to knit and crochet very well. I could certainly teach that but I wonder how many CS-ers would like to learn such a skill. If nothing else, I hope I can influence people not to be afraid of their passion, and be proud of what they can do.
