About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore, Adventure, Create, & Make Friends

ABOUT ME

I'm a 24 year old college graduate and photographer trying to explore the world. Now that I am done with school I finally have time to travel abroad. I've worked as a mechanic for much of my life and now I am transitioning to photography full time.

I'm active, I love to hike and be out in nature. I love exploring new cities, meeting people and enjoying architecture.

I'm very calm, level headed, pensive, and cautious. I've been a vegetarian for 12 years. I'm not one of those crazies though that will try to convert you.

PHILOSOPHY

I strive to contribute to society, it's evolution and progression, as well as facilitating critiques to what can be improved. Everyone has a story and is deserving of an open ear.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I plan to surf from June to the end of July in Iceland and Europe. I am excited to learn as much as I can of the culture, language, and way of life everywhere I stay.

While surfing I will be creating a Photographic Portrait series of all of my hosts and locals from the town I pass through. I will also be documenting my travels so that others may follow in my foot steps.

I will be a polite guest, eager to exchange ideas!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to couchsurf. This will be my first time. I can't wait to make some new friends and hopefully have them come back to America to visit me.

Interests

Photography, music, rock climbing, hiking, political debates, reading, sci-fi, anything new.

Music, Movies & Books

Cloud Atlas, A Brave New World, Dune, the Dictionary,

One Amazing Thing I've Done

The last adventure I took I drove across america. From the East coast to the Northwest. It was amazing to see how dramatically the environment can shift in such short distances. I was also deeply impacted by the types of people i was exposed to and their living conditions. I defiantly learned a lot about my home country that is rarely discussed or seen in the public eye.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have skills fixing things, welding and metal fabrication to rebuilding large motors for marine vessels. I can open peoples eyes to a variety of political structures that exist, have existed, or are theorized to exist--in an unbiased way.
