Hey! I am Huyen (or as my friends call me Huxx). Currently I study at the University of Jena (sociology & pedagogy). As soon as I found out about the concept of couchsurfing, I immediately loved it. The idea of traveling to other cities and countries but also trusting foreign people, helping others and getting to know them either as surfer or as host excites me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The first thing that comes to mind is to save money. It’s hard to afford a whole trip as a student. But the main reason why I joined is to get to know the different cities and the people who live there. Traveling is fun, but meeting locals who can show you around and becoming friends is even better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Unfortunately I don‘t read as often as I used to anymore and same when it comes to watching movies. But music is still a big part of my life! Not a day goes by without me listening to at least one song. Rock, Pop, Soul, Hardcore you name it all. If it‘s good I‘ll play it on repeat until I hate it.
I used to take piano and singing lessons and now I am part of the radio station of our university.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can talk..like a lot if I‘m in the mood. I have a lot of weird stories about all the injuries I got from playing sports or about my jobs. (Just pinch me if I talk too much.)
I also love to cook and bake. If there‘s time I wouldn‘t say no to preparing a meal together.
