About Me

Just graduated from an environmental science program and getting ready to move from Jersey to Colorado. I have been playing drums for most of my life, and have been playing guitar for half that time. Recently started to learn mandolin as well. I used to play in a family bluegrass band and went to a performing arts high school.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people in Denver, because I will be moving there very soon and to meet people elsewhere. And of course traveling in general.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much music too listen but my favorite artists are Tool, Plaid, Rammstein, and Erik Mongrain.

Movies genre are dark comedy, comedy, sci fi and the occasional thriller. Actual movies that I like are pulp fiction, jurassic park, holy grail, very bad things, blade runner was pretty sweet, fifth element, and LoTR.

I like text books. But now that I am done school my reading list is LOTR, the road, frozen earth, and more text books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Camped in the rockies for almost two weeks last May. Taught kids in Lithuania how to make music from straw flutes, there parents probably did not appreciate. Also ate with the methodist bishop for the Scandinavian and Baltic States at an american western steak house in Riga, Latvia. That was a surreal moment, and quite odd but i got to look at my own culture through another's eyes.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could show you alternate tunings on guitar. I know a bit about geology and rocks, but have to hit the books to reboot my memory, also I could teach you about geography and geomorph (think landscapes).

I would like to learn how others approach living life, and to take one day at a time. Languages are an other interest, more specifically how they and their alphabets evolve.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversation, beer, high five, and jokes.
