About Me

Teaching elephants how to swim.

I'm into rollerblade basketball, nitrous bungee jumping, breakdance chewing, running with scissors.

Strange thing to try to summarize oneself in a few paragraphs.

I studied philosophy and fine arts (photography) at university.
I'm curious about life and the human condition.
I think we are always searching for something, especially when we travel, but more often than not that thing is in ourselves.
Buddhism is cool.
I'm fearless, but clowns kind of creep me out...

Philosophizing will just confuse you... action is better.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couch-surfed all over the world for years with friends and family. I signed up on couchsurfing a while ago, but no one has hit me up for a couch yet, nor have I made use of one.

Photography and the arts in general, cinema, music (I play a little guitar), food and wine, and good conversation - especially about art while enjoying good food and wine.
Politics, social justice, science and religion are all worthy topics as well.
Love the ocean, scuba diving, sailing, etc.,

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Good music... currently Alexi Murdoch, Jono McCleery, Mux Mool, Kyo Itachi, Paper Tiger, among others, are getting a lot play on the ipod.

Books: Mostly non-fiction and philosophy, though I do have a soft spot for poetry (check out Charles Bukowski) and short stories (Kafka, Chekov, etc)

Movies: Too many favorites to list. Some good ones are Bright Future, Oldboy, The Return, Requiem for a Dream, Everything is Illuminated, Night on Earth, Delicatessen, Moon, La Haine, Ghost Dog.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Machu Pichu and the Sacred Valley of the Incas - all the pictures you might have seen really don't do them justice.
