ABOUT ME

Hello, my name is Andy. I recently got lay-off at the end of August, 2009. Guess what? I have time now and want to take advantage of it. I started out with visiting my parents and spend sometimes with them. At the meantime, I will be traveling to neighboring nations, such as Thailand, Singapore, etc. I have some ideas but try not to set a concrete destination and schedule for right now. I want to see what my journey will turn out after. Just go with the flow !! :)

I grew up in a very small town in Bujang Valley, an archaeological area riches with Hindu-Buddhist influences dated back mare than 1500 years ago (between the 5th and 8th centuries AD). I asked my father if I could go out to see the world and further my education. He agreed and I have never be back since except some short visiting. :(
What more of a kind of father I should ask for !!

I will be back to the States early November 2009 for taking care of some personal business. I will continue my journey after Thanksgiving, one of my favorite Holidays. You have no idea, how many people I have to thank for.

I finished my first degree at Wichita State University in Electrical Engineer, got a job in the aircraft industry and stuck until now. I had my second degree at Friends University in Computer Information Systems and paid for by the company. Wichita, an air capital of the world, located in the middle of the U.S. However, this mid size town is not limited to solely aircraft business.

I Have heard about CS for years, but just recently signed up for. I am new and still learning, will involve to host in the later days. At the moment, I am very looking forward to participate the couch surfing events when I am traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am an American Red Cross Human Resource Member. I am volunteering whenever I am available. I was volunteering for Hurricane Wilma for 10 weeks in Miami, the Keys, and Fort Lauderdale areas. There is no word I can describe with how great the experience were. I just thankful the opportunity that came my way. I was working with so many people within that period of time. I am wishing one day, somewhere, sometimes, I will run into or meet some of these people along my couch-surfing journey.
