About Me
CURRENT MISSION
There's always something happening somewhere, and I'm sick of missing out.
ABOUT ME
Uhhhh.... I feel like I have a thousand things to say and none all at once.
My name's Devon and I'm 24. My name is pronounced Dev-in, not Dev-on; if you say Dev-on (especially on purpose), immediately something will come up to get me the hell away from you, like my dog being on fire...in Wisconsin.
I love comedy, all types of music, amusement parks and food.
I'm a coupon queen-I'm always looking for cool new stuff to do on Groupon & Living Social without spending too much.
I like to think I'm funny. Definetly in a Lisa Lampanelli-sarcastic-truthful-but-mean kinda way.
I'm trying to get spiritual, I actively practice being a good person.
I'm always down for an adventure. Cheap/free adventures even more.
I'm in school now, majoring in Forensic Psychology. My hope one day is to be a profiler, and I'd love to work with either sex offenders or serial killers.
PHILOSOPHY
The universe will never give you anything you can't handle. The more you know, the more you can handle.
Karma.
Keep your head down, and your mouth shut.
Namaste.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
For a while my couch was a revolving door of "homeless" people. Sometimes my friends would get locked out, or kicked out, once my friend Mike stayed because he went to Bamboozle and it made more sense to stay on my couch than to drive back home just to come back the next day. My parents put a stop to that, though, otherwise my couch would still be available.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Well...
When I was a kid my mom would kind of bounce me around from different family members' houses. I'd stay with my grandparents for a week, then my aunt, I even spent a month up at my sister's dorm. So I guess you could call that my start as a Couch Surfer.
Then as an "adult", my aunt out in Seattle owns a business and needed holiday help, so I flew out, lived on her couch for a month and helped her out.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Anything by Chuck Palahniuk or Augusten Burroughs. And anything true crime or about serial killers. Yeah, for real.
Movies: I prefer comedies & Disney and I'm not ashamed of that. I hate horror movies because they terrify me too easily. Top 5: Jaws, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Gene Wilder, not Johnny Depp), Accepted, Bedknobs and Broomsticks, and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Music: Mostly pop, pop-punk, soft-rock. I love slow jams, and acoustic versions of Pierce the Veil. I dig jambands, oldies, and electronica too. I'll listen to really anything except country, gospel or anything that screams so I can't understand them.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
About 3 years ago I took a 17 day tour of Italy. Like all of it. I've laid on the floor of the Sistine Chapel, I've smelled Venice, I've taken the picture where it looks like I'm holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa, I've written my name in volcanic rock in a crater, and I've seen the sun set on the Mediterranean.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a Girl Scout so I know some pretty decent outdoor/camping/survival skills and first aid.
I want to learn everything. Seriously.
