Hi! I'm Ilaria, I'm 20 years old and right now I'm just a student. :)
I'll try to describe myself, but as you will notice very soon, my english is not perfect, sorry for my mistakes!
I grew up in Sardinia, a wonderful italian island. It's a place full of surprises and proud of its traditions, and it will always be my home. Since when I was a child, thanks to my parents, I've learned how beautiful travelling around the world is. I've visited many countries(Spain, UK, Romania, France..) and every one of them was WONDERFUL! What I love about travelling is seeing how many differences there are between every culture, and all you have to do is take a train or a plane for a few hours and you'll discover a whole new world.
I live in the amazing Milan (I've lived here for 7 years now) and this town taught me a lot of things and really opened my mind. You'll understand when you get here. :)

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

I'm trying to discover the Couchsurfing world right now. I think that meeting new people, with all their "differences" and experiences, would be an amazing thing. I'm so curious, and I really want to know more about the rest of the world. What better way to do that than meeting people?
And of course, besides meeting someone and finding new friends, I'd love to travel and see the beautiful places this planet has given to us.

Interesses

I like to discover new things everyday. For now, I really love reading books, listening to music(a lot hahaha), travelling (of course), and I love animals. Animals are my passion... and my weakness. If I see a dog, I'm going to pet him ok? hahaha just kidding, but seriously, I love animals.
I also like drawing (even if I'm not able to do that :( ).
Sometimes I play videogames; I have a lot of male friends and most of times I have no choice. (so if you host me, or vice versa, and you're bored and don't know what to do, it would be ok to me to just stay home and play some games. I have ps3, ps2 and the nintendo wii) .. what can I say, it's always a way to know each other haha :)
And please, don't confuse this thing with "being childish", it's not. It's something I like to do and maybe you don't, and it's ok like this. Being different, remember? :)

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I basically listen/read/watch everything. I don't want to focus on just one thing, I see that as a "limit". If I like something, I read it. It could be The hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy or it could be Shakespeare. I could listen to Imagine Dragons(I really like them by the way), or I could listen to Bocelli. I could watch Gladiator or I could watch Titanic. Well.. I think you understand now :)
But I have to admit that I really like watching tv series. Right now, I'm watching The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and The big bang theory.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Maybe I'm just boring, but I think that the most incredible thing I've ever done was to "help" an old lady. She was alone, waiting for a train, and she asked me information. We started talking, and she told me that she was alone because her husband died 10 years before, and her sons were always travelling around the world. I've decided to stay with her for the whole afternoon. We talked a lot, and in every sentence she said "thank you for doing this". She offered me a coffee(even if I didn't want to, but how can you say no to a lovely woman like her), and then we were just shopping together and knowing each other. When we had to say goodbye, she said to me like a Thousand "thank you"! It was one of the best days of my life.
It's nothing heroic, I know. But I think it's incredibile because you have no idea how good I've felt after helping her. Yes, maybe I've helped her and that's beautiful, but the most important and INCREDIBLE thing is that, that day, that lady, taught me so much.. so much that you can't even imagine.
From that day, I've always tried to be a good person. The only thing I want is to be good. No one deserves pain, but everyone deserves a friend and love. And with couchsurfing I hope I'll find new friends, so that I can have fun and have a lot of other days like that one.
That's it. Well, I'm not a hippie or something like that, I don't spread the word "peace and love", but I'm just trying to stay positive, to live better with myself and the rest of the world. :)
