About Me

I'm working on entering the tech industry by way of a coding bootcamp in SF. I've previously worked in the Finance and Hospitality industries in NYC, for approximately 4 years in each.

I'm recently married and have just come back from a 6-month honeymoon with my wife, Lauren. We stayed in AirBnBs for 5 months and have had some fantastic life-changing experiences in Spain, France, Greece, Italy, England and Ukraine. In the process, we have also learned how to take care of other peoples' homes. We are now ready to back back into the workforce and look forward to moving to the west coast!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love meeting new people and getting to know new places through the eyes of locals. What better way than to Couchsurf?

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: techno. But I just love music in general, and listen to a lot of various types of music, such as Rock, Rock & Roll, Jazz, Classical, Hip Hop, Alternative, etc.

Favorite Movie: Apocalypse Now, because unlike modern-day Hollywood "war films," this film does not simply glorify war and make it seem cool. It shows how ugly and horrible it is. It tries to show how painful and difficult of a struggle it is for a human being to be involved in the horrors of war. How not all warriors are heroes, and how war just doesn't make much sense...

Favorite Book: Ivory: A Legend of Past and Future, by Mike Resnick. This book is an awesome sci-fi adventure that delves into our relationship with history, culture, and the Earth. It's the only book that truly transported my mind into a different world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Decided to quit my job and go on a 6-month honeymoon with my wife, before returning to the U.S. and establishing a new career.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach hosts how to cook some Ukrainian foods! I would love to learn how to kiteboard.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share meals with hosts! My wife and I love cooking, and have picked up some great ideas (and cookbooks) from our travels. We would love to cook some delicious meals for our hosts.
