About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To sing and swim my way across the world and learn from everyone I meet
ABOUT ME
Curious, positive, love learning, being creative, and meeting new people, value warmth, authenticity, and of course, adventure! Some of my past adventures include pursuing a documentary film career and fronting a blues band in New York City, building and living in a converted school bus for a year, being an organic vegetable farmer, being an Outward Bound instructor, hiking the John Muir trail, solo travel around Thailand, and most recently, being in a David Lynch cover band and getting my MA in installation art in my favorite city of all time, London, U.K. I smile and laugh a lot. I give good hugs. I love techno music and will dance all night long if i know where the warehouse parties are. I love to cook tapas for my friends and pretend my house is a restaurant for a night. I am an ex-competitive swimmer and will jump into just about any body of water I find. My favorite thing to do is choose a destination and find a unique way of getting there, like kayaking to an art gallery. I care about sustainable food and social justice, am a pescatarian non-smoker, and will always choose conversation and cooking together over watching TV. I am really excited to get to know Seattle, especially anything obscure or underground. I am super independent and enjoy hitting the streets with a map and journal and just getting lost all day. I can't host at the moment since I am just myself moving to Seattle but as soon as I am able, I'd love to host other couchsurfers.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short...do what makes your heart beat faster.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I would love to host gatherings of musicians and artists in the CS community. I produce small grassroots arts events and offer my home as a make-shift gallery/performance space for a night. I hope to do this in Seattle so artists, please contact me!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a CS guest in Colorado and was impressed with the warmth and generosity of my host. I look forward to the opportunity to give something back by being a host myself.

Scuba diving with thousands of jellyfish in Thailand. The most humbling, energizing, fascinating experience of my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I teach adults with a phobia of water how to swim. I used to be a personal trainer so I technically can do more advanced fitness training but I honestly love working with complete beginners. I am passionate about the water and passing on my love of it to others.
