ABOUT ME

i'm a perpetual optimist. i like to see the best in people, wherever i go, and there's no situation that can't be turned positive in some way.

i'm not so much a vagabond as curious about what else is out there at all times! i'm also a writer- i love seeing new things and meeting new people, and i love gathering inspiration for my writing in strange places. the more of the world you know, the more people you can relate to.

i'm finishing up a semester abroad in new zealand, which has been one of the best periods in my entire life. i've met some amazing people here. then it's off to new york city for a few months of abject poverty as a starving artist, haha.

i'm one of the most social people i know. i talk to everyone and anyone, and i think i can get along with most people pretty well.

PHILOSOPHY

it's cliche, but i'd rather regret doing something than not doing it. this is my one life- i strive to feel everything i can, to make the most of every moment, and to remind myself that i am accountable for my own happiness... no one is going to come in and make my life better for me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i'm a novice to this site, but not to couch surfing in general.

one of my favorite recent experiences was going on a road trip with a friend in new zealand and staying with his childhood friends out in the country. it was a really amazing way to see new zealand without doing the whole tour-bus thing!

Interests

i love writing. music is a huge part of my life. classic movies- anything before about 1960 makes me really happy. and road tripping is one of my absolute favorite pastimes. there's nothing better than hopping in a car and driving down a long abandoned highway to destinations unknown.

Teach, Learn, Share

i'd love to teach you what i know about writing. i love sharing work with people, and developing talents together. i'm of the school that believes that art, and writing particularly, is an ever evolving part of yourself that needs to be let out at all possible opportunities. i would love to have some time to share art with someone, critique, brainstorm, and gain a little more insight.
