Been a VOLUNTEER in around 20 different countries,and I cant see quitting

ABOUT ME

Extremely adventurous (for my age)...have been to most of Canada,USA,Mexico,guatemala,el Salvador,honduras,nicaragua,costa rica,panama,colombia,ecuador,peru,chile,argentina,3 times to philippines,japan and hong kong.
Mostly I travel to help street children, feed them or teach them.
On my 50th birthday i rode a motto alone from northern canada to argentina and back...was wonderful...

AM PRACTICING CATHOLIC...no drinking or smoking or drugs..and I just want to make a difference in peoples lives is all...

When i was married6 years ago)..as my 2 daughters were growing up we had planned to go as a family to volunteer around the world..6 years ago my former decided to marry a retired doctor she works with instead..my daughters gave up..so..I go it alone..thats my story and im sticking to it...

AND I LOVE DANCING(the dancing where you actually hold on to the other person)

PHILOSOPHY

Wish I had travelled alot sooner in life..but at least I am doing it now....went to my grade 12 hi school reunion about 3 years ago, about 25% of them had died, mostly at work or from smoking ...wow....wake up call...been travelling 5 years now...if everyone got to travel, I am CERTAIN after staying together in hostels (as mostly they are like the united nations of travellers,) there would certainly NEVER be another war...me thinks anyway

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

last year rode solo from northern canada to viedma argentina and back solo...50,000 km on my 50th birthday
-got shot at in guatemala and 44 km past david panama,robbed by young girls in san jose costa rica, detained by the farc rebels in colombia, had my bike stolen by the peruvian police near trujillo peru,crossed the andes mountains in bitter winter from santiago chile to mendosa argentina, had to help a young man from denmark escape corrupt police from lima peru....well....its been a blast...really

Teach, Learn, Share

hmm..a hard and easy one..I notice most on here are young...and that is FANTASTIC...many older people of the last generation have alot of hangups...by you all travelling and sharing..the world will SURELY benefit and be a better place...NOW if only you could all run for political office and get everyone on their 18th birthday to trade places with even 1 from another country for 1 year instead of mandatory military service..well...the WORLD WOULD BE HEAVEN...and we all say..AMEN!
