Do what I love and love what I do :)
HI, I'm Irene :)
I'm a Norwegian/American vegan girl who found and fell in love with couchsurfing back in 2010 :) Since then I have used couchsurfing, hosting and surfing to discover the world in every amazing way possible!
I'm easy going and relaxed, open minded and love adventure. Anything spontaneous and which makes me laugh is very welcomed. In the midst of my travels I try to always stay true to myself and never lose sight of my goals and dreams in life.
By living as though the future is more important than the present moment, you miss the aliveness of life. There is no future. There is only this, the present moment. - Eckhart Tolle
Live every day to the fullest! don't regret anything you do, and if it doesn't work out the way you hoped, just think of it as useful experience and learn from it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host when I'm able to and have many times been able to travel because of the generosity of others offering me a cosy couch to stay on! :)
Backpacking through south-west Europe with my good friend Desiree, meeting a lot of awesome people from different cultures, countries and backgrounds was life changing.
Couchsurfing in New York City was also an amazing experience :)
Being a healthy Vegan and now gluten free I'm a big health-foodie and am really interested in nutrition. Eating well does not mean eating boring!
I'm also a Oneness Deeksha giver and do Vipassana and mindfulness meditation daily :) another passion of mine is traveling and living off less, which is why I love Couchsurfing so much. I love to try new things and I am always looking to tick off things on my Bucket list :P

I am completely in love with Afrobeats but I definitely listen to other music as well, some of my favourites are:

Also a massive film geek. Favourite genre is definitely Horror, zombie films especially. But all time favourites are: 1Giant Leap, Barfi, Intouchables, Pursuit of Happyness, What Maisie Knew and documentaries such as: Food matters, Craigslist Joe, The Beautiful truth etc.
Doing an English course I have read a lot of books I never thought I'd read, and I really enjoyed it. some of my favourite Authors and books: Erlend Loe's Doppler, Stephen King, Matthew Lewis' The Monk, Tuesdays with Morrie, In her shoes
