Yes, that should be an endearing introduction to making new friends!!! :-P

I believe traveling and interacting with people helps each other define a more well-rounded perspective on the world and understand each other better and where we come from. Instead of just discounting people's beliefs, values, rituals, and political views, understanding how and why these developed helps us understand and accept each other.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I had been involved in some CS-related events back home. I had hosted, been a tour guide locally for a few...but only with people I had met beforehand or who knew of some people I had met. I have been to over 20 countries, but had never used CS for myself as I was only marginally involved before...I had always been too busy doing my own thing ;-)

Intereses

Travel (obviously), and everything that entails, from becoming aware of differing cultural perspectives, enriching myself with knowledge of the history, culture, people, language, FOOD!!!, and being able to contribute in some small part when I can. I always try to put my skills to use whenever I can...otherwise, I think all of that education would be a waste ;-)
