....to experience and create beauty in the world, and to make new friends in Edmonton! I have just moved back to Edmonton for work after 8 years away in Barcelona and I'm looking for new travel minded pals to hang out with to keep the flame alive! I like doing all kinds of things, going to galleries, opening nights, bands, cabarets or variety shows, to eat exotic food, cross country skiing, cinema, board game nights, potlucks or anything else fun!
I am an art lover first and foremost, which for me includes good design and architecture. I need to see something beautiful every day to feel alive. Whether it's some really cool graffiti, a beautiful building, a nice coffee shop or library, a sculpture, a movie or an amazing tree.
I find Europe to be the most chock full of beauty both in the city and without which is why I lived in Barcelona for so long. I also like warm weather and sun sun sun! Which makes the mediterranean especially nice for me! However winter has its own charm so I'm trying to embrace it now that I'm back in Canada.
I am an avid reader and am always carrying a book on me, and I also love to dance. But not any particular type of dance...just play me some classic hits and I'll improv happily! I'm a dog person and especially love Jack Russell Terriers. Those little guys just melt my heart.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been to a lot of CS meetups in Barcelona back in the day, and hosted a bit and been hosted, and still think that's it is the best way to make new friends when you are moving to a new city. And I plan to use it in this capacity to its fullest soon as I am planning a big move in the next months....
Thank you very much to the wonderful people in the following places who have shared their couches with me: Edinburgh, Amsterdam, Sardinia, Kyoto, Kobe, Brno, Girona, Lyon and Nevada City. I will never forget those memomories, they stand out in my mind as highlights of my trips. Also thank you to the CS community of Barcelona for being so active, fun, and welcoming. Many of you have gone on to be my best friends and Barcelona wouldn't have been the same without you!
Trip Hop, films, art exhibits, architecture, literature, really cool insects, asian food, design, scientific breakthroughs, anything sustainable, social justice.

Teach, Learn, Share
Make sure you stop on your path once in a while and sit down to think....maybe even chew on a blade of grass and find some shapes in the clouds; because you might just get to where you are going and you want to be sure it's where you want to be!
