To find a mission in life...
I love discovering new things, being adventurous and meeting new people, especially from other cultures who can teach me a thing or two. I have very very many interests, so there is never a shortage of things to talk about with me. Most important of all, I am always up for a laugh!
I am currently studying development studies in Vietnam, but only have a couple of weeks left before returning to Norway, where I have lived with my mother, brother and sister for the last few years. After the summer I hope to start a bachelors degree of International relations and Arabic somewhere in Europe or the Middle East.
Unfortunately, I am unable to host anyone at the moment because of the lack of a permanent resident. I can come to Oslo though, and would be happy to meet for a coffee or show people around if I'm available.
I like to believe that I follow the philosophy of living in the moment and appreciating the little things in life. One tends to constantly be looking forward to something and therefore forgetting to enjoy the time in between, even if that time may just consist of "boring day to day life".
"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth."
Life is what happens whilst you are working for your future.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have only surfed so far and have met the most amazing people along the way! I believe Couchsurfing is by far the best way to travel, and has definitely been an incredible resource and experience for me during my excursions to various different countries around the world. I have mostly surfed in NZ, Australia, Vanuatu and Southeast Asia. I am forever grateful for the amazing times I had with all who hosted me!
When my circumstances change I will gladly open my home to the couchsurfing community:)
My list of interests is LONG and I am on a constant search to find new, exciting things to learn about and skills to acquire. I guess that is one of the reasons I so thoroughly enjoy travelling. I now dedicate most of my free time to blogging, photography, spending money on travels and trying to keep updated with what is happening in the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music. I can pretty much listen to any kind of music, depending on what mood I am in. As long as there is a song in the background, I'm happy. I have spent many years building up a collection of my favourite music, making my list of music interests VERY long.
I love a good book. I have read many things through the years. My favourite book has to be "A Fine Balance" by Rohinton Mistry simply because it is the book that has left the strongest impression on me. I also loved Shantaram. Both books left me with an extreme urge to want to go to India. I also enjoy fantasy books, crime novels and yes, I admit, I have read all the Dan Brown and Harry Potter books and loved them.
I am also a big movie fanatic, however, all I can manage to think about right now is Game of Thrones!!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being half way across the world completely on my own!
Celebrating Christmas eve in warm New Zealand having previously spent every xmas shivering somewhere in Europe.
Standing on top of an active volcano in Vanuatu.
Teach, Learn, Share
The main reason I want to travel is because I am fascinated by languages and how and why we all live in different ways. I hope travelling will open doors to new languages and experiences and learning how people can live such diverse lives, yet build friendships with people from across the globe. I am convinced that couchsurfing can help me do this.
