About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm travelling to see great art
ABOUT ME
I am friendly and happy. I like art, reading and TV. I would prefer to spend time chatting in a quiet corner of a pub rather than go crazy dancing - but when the mood grabs me I like to do that too!
I love to hear everyone's story, I think everyone has a really interesting history and makes interesting choices.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a student on a scholarship, so I don't yet own a house, but I promise to return the couch-surfing favours when I do get one!
I am currently doing a mini Europe tour after presenting at a conference in Barcelona. I am staying with friends, but in between I am trying to do some couch surfing, mainly for two reasons:
1. Not keen on crazy party hostelers and impolite people
2. Did I mention that I'm a dirt poor student? Saving $30 a night on hostels means everything to me
Interests
Art: sculpture, photography, paintings, contemporary art, artist collectives
Film, cinema, movies, books turned into movies etc.
Reading. Shopping. Wine.
I have a massive sweet tooth so: cakes, biscuits, cookies, chocolate, ice-cream, milkshakes, smoothies
Skiing, snowboarding, surfing, horse-riding, baseball.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really want to answer this one because I feel I'll be judged :/ jajaja
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got on a plane from Australia to Argentina with $50 in my bank account, praying that I would win the scholarship I applied for and ergo have money once I arrived. Amazing, crazy, fine line.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot about English, Spanish, Art and random Spanish telenovelas. Also, I have travelled a lot so I can give advice on different places to visit, especially Buenos Aires. I know ridiculous amounts of things about Argentina, probably more than many citizens do (because I read a ton for my thesis, and because I am a very thorough tourist). I can also tell you a lot about Melbourne and Sydney.
I would love to learn more about Spain and the Spain/Catalunya divide, although I'm aware its a touchy topic. I'd love to practise some French or learn Italian or Portuguese. I like learning about cooking but I'm a terrible cook, I can do pasta, eggs and cookies, that's about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to exchange my couch space for language lessons/practise in English or Spanish, I'm also really good at proof-reading if you need university or work help. Previously I have helped people work on their LinkedIn accounts, cover letters and job interview skills.
