I am 19 years old, from the UK and on a gap year before going to university this September to study politics philosophy and economics. I am currently spending a month travelling up Vietnam after working for 6 months in Korea (on Jeju Island) as a teacher.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meet people who really know about the cities in an attempt to get a real taste of the culture in the short time I have left travelling.

Interests

A huge amount of stuff: music (I play guitar, piano and sing), sport (I've played football and sailed my whole life) and of course a lot of other stuff from philosophy to politics to literature.

But of course, at the moment my main interest is getting to meet new and amazing people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to say but some favourite books of mine would be Catcher in the Rye, anything by Forster or Waugh or Tolkien, and of course the Harry Potter books which I grew up on and initially learnt to read with.

For films once again it's hard to say, I've watched quite a few, but some I really enjoyed and still do are the Great Escape, Ben Hur, Captain Fantastic, The Lord of the Rings trilogy and many many more.
