Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

To challenge myself and keep on moving on

ABOUT ME

Hi! My Name is Jacqueline, or Jackie. I'm a 21 year old girl living in Europe for the past year. I go to a small university in Brooklyn, New York where I toil away in a lovely museum gift shop. I'm studying Spanish and International Cultural Studies, so my passion is really in enriching myself as much as I can in everything that is foreign to me. I'm very open minded and curious, so i'll try just about anything(well not, EVERYTHING) I have fallen in love with traveling. I decided to spend a year away from Brooklyn and study abroad in Europe. I spent last semester living in Prague and wanted to throw myself into yet another semester here in Sevilla in Spain. I've traveled extensively during this time but my favorite part is the people I meet and the experiences I have along the way. I'm really happy with the life I've started for myself and I'm always up for a new adventure. That being said, I also spend a lot of my time wandering around museums and bookstores by myself because we all need some quiet time. I love talking about art, film, and literature, but I have a very silly side and I would be content talking gibberish sometimes too.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in the power of positive thinking. I've been on both sides of it, and I really believe that if you think positively, good things will come to you and you will ultimately be happier.

Lots of other philosophies but thats my main guide through life!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently a couchsurfing newbie and am looking to change that! I have been wanting to try it for a while but truth be told, I was a little bit nervous. If this goes well, I'm looking forward to moving back to Brooklyn this summer to open up my (Very tiny but cozy) apartment to host fellow couchsurfers from all over the world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

This is my first time!

Interessi

Art! All formats ( painting, sculpture, photography)
Film, especially in foreign languages
Reading! I worked in a library for 3 years and a bookstore last year.
Yoga
Manual photography- I've got a bunch of old 35 mm cameras that I love to experiment with. I'd never call myself a photographer, but it's one of my favorite things to do.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Well most recently: I just went on a 5 day trip to morocco and camped out in the sahara desert a couple nights. My friends and I woke up at 400 in the morning of a full moon. We watched the moon set, saw the milky way, and then turned around and watched the most beautiful sunrise in the desert.
