Jade loves to learn and ask questions about people, about the places they have been, how to cook exotic foods, where to go and where one fears to tread..

Jade is happiest when in the company of those that like to laugh, those who can be quiet and still content, those that will betray another before themselves.

She likes to talk story and listen to people, especially around a good fire.

Interests

Always nature!!! I have hiked or skied in the Canadian Rockies, upstate New York, Kauai's Na Pali Coast let me see and beautiful, beautiful Vermont, and Colorado both are very dear landscapes for me.

Life for me is about getting away from it all! Doing retreats into nature, or trying a new spiritual adventure. I spend my time gardening, walking with friends and gentle exercise. Lately I am doing Qigong and it is really energy building. I love dance and have studied a few forms; hula, Katach an Indian dance and belly dance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching the sun set on Haleakala (volcano on Maui)then driving back down the steep switchbacks by motorcycle.

Hiking in Tepotzlan,during a thunderstorm. This is Morelos, Mexico which is a charming multicultural mix of both local and abroad community set in the mountains. It has a tremendous circle of peaks and the most intense thunderstorms that crash and flicker during the whole summer season. It washes the streets clean every night.

Skiing off trail in Banff, Alberta age 25 on what would definitely be a black diamond run. Then going for Après-ski at the local pub and playing darts while reciting Keats.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a student of life ~Seriously. Way I see it, we all live to understand, we learn to keep the shallowness away, we laugh to get through the stress, and we cry to open our hearts further and not shrink back at the pain of simple being human.

I have nothing to teach and everything to learn. I am so hungry for information that I began traveling very young. Perhaps to find somewhere and someone to hear the mysteries from. There were some great teachers. However, soon enough we experience -it is everywhere if we stop to hear.

What I do have to share is my general sense of joy. Not an overt kind of thing but an sincerity of heart and ability to be present with others.
