I am ready to become a midwife. I am setting out on my journey to achieve that goal

ABOUT ME

I am driven by my passions. I like to try new things and learn as much as I can about the things that interest me. I will delve into any subject that catches my interest. At any one time there is at least one subject that I will be surrounding myself with. I don't know any other way.

Until last August, I had never lived anywhere but the same city in which I was born. Now that I am gone, I'm not sure if I will ever live in Boston again. There are so many different places to visit, I can't just stay so isolated in the world. I want to travel, as soon as I can afford to.

I have always wanted to be mother. Unlike many others I knew, I didn't want to be a doctor or a engineer or an astronaut when I grew up, I wanted to be a mom. I was blessed in this area and met the missing part of my soul early in life and we soon added 1, 2, 3 lovely little boys to our family. Now that they are here, I'm finally ready to move on and further my education and my career now that I know who I am and what I stand for.

I would not be the person I am today without my sons. Having them was the best decision I have made in life. It is amazingly refreshing to have an intimate view of how children view the world and discover and learn new things.

I think way too much about things, very introspective. Yet sometimes I may think too much about the wrong things and not enough about the right ones. This could one day lead to my downfall. I have a positive outlook towards it anyways. It's cool, all experiences are learning experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that things happen for a reason, no event is by chance, and one event/choice will lead to another.

I am very interested to meet more people and expand my world. I haven't traveled nearly as much as I should have, especially in the US.

-Traveling, I want to explore every corner of this little blue dot. Rainforests, deserts, ice caps, mountains, everything.
-Human rights, Women's rights, genital integrity( http://www.icgi.org/ )
-Tattoos, I have 2 that I'm very proud of, and will probably have many more as time goes on.
-Sustainable living
-Cooking/baking/fermenting, you know playing in the kitchen
-I love The L Word, and many other SHO shows.

I gave birth to my youngest child at home, with only my partner in attendance to help welcome him into the world. Yes, on purpose. It was the best experience of my life.

Birth does not have to be a scary experience. Trust in your or your partners body. Hospitals are for sick people, healthy pregnant laboring women don't belong there. Look deeper into yourself. Take back birth.
