About Me

Now, I know a lot of people have an unsatisfiable wanderlust here so I won't get into that. I'll admit, I'm quirky. And honestly, if I could live my life on the road, I would. I always get weird looks from people when I tell them that instead of college, I'm traveling the world. Not that I don't love to learn and am relatively intelligent, but I need more than to see the words on a page, I need to experience things, be there making history and exploring my interests. I could never just settle into society's neat little box for each of its drones; I'm born to be weird and free.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm backpacking and travelling the world in parts. It's not that I don't plan, because I usually do a bit, but I'm more of a spontaneous traveler. I'm definitely an adventurer, I love my stories and my experiences no matter how crazy they get. I'm always looking forward to getting back on the road and to experience the world a little more. I'm not naive to think that I can always do that though. I work hard for my money and I'm looking to spend it as wisely as possible. I'm 21, it's not like I've gotten anything handed to me. Thank you for aiding me in my journeys!

Interests

There's too many to list, ask me though. I kind of love to talk and I'm sure we'll find something interesting to talk about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a music addict. I don't really single out a genre, but if I had to choose one, it'd be classic rock. That's not a limit though! I could go from listening to Dokken (my favorite band, 80s hard rock/metal) to Davy Knowles (modern blues rock) to Lindsay Stirling (Dubstep, I have a soft spot for the violin) to Bruce Springsteen (Only a freaking music legend) to Hunter Hayes (country, not my favorite genre but it's good) to Witt Lowry (My favorite poetic rapper) and back again. That's the point, there's no limit. I always take a good recommendation and I love dancing!
I read, a lot. I'm a bit of an insomniac so reading is how I fill my nights. I write, so the written language has always fascinated me. I'm not too picky with choosing genres. Like music, I appreciate everything. I have an interesting collection of old and new books. Years back, I started collecting old books (like early 1900s or before). Most are philosophy and politics, but interesting all the same.
Movies. I love them. Once in a while I'll get on binges, take a week off work and spend hours watching them. Sometimes tv series too. I'll say right now, once every five or so months, I spent a good four to six days glued to the couch watching every episode of Dexter. It's bad, I know. As much of an adventurer as I am, I do have moments of semi-laziness.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one?
Hmm...
I climbed in the Rhinocere Cage at Toronto Zoo
Maybe that's not amazing, maybe I'm just stupid.
I was the first thing I'd ever done for the thrill of it.
I personally got escorted out of the park and they asked to contact my parents.

Teach, Learn, Share

This area confuses me. What am I suppose to say here? Every little fact I know? Recount experiences? I have no idea.

I'm more interested in seeking to understand, so I want to know what I can learn from you!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a firm believer that everyone you meet can change your life. Even just a couple minutes with someone can be as valuable as a lifetime. I try to keep in contact with as many people as I can from my travels and I'd love to talk to you. If you want me out of the way, I'll be a ghost. Otherwise, I love to cook? Maybe we can talk and make a meal together! Of course, I'm always up to learning to make a new dish....Thank you for your hospitality!
