I'm Jahziah, a Swedish-Jamaican living in Stockholm with stories to share! My multicultural upbringing between Sweden and Jamaica has given me a unique lens through which I see the world and connect with people from all walks of life.

By day, I work as a software engineer, solving complex problems and building digital solutions. But my true passion comes alive when exploring new places and forming genuine connections. I've been fortunate enough to visit 28 countries across four continents, from bustling Asian metropolises to tranquil European villages.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe travel is about the people you meet even more than the places you see. While I might be naturally introverted, I've discovered that the most rewarding experiences come from stepping outside my comfort zone and connecting with locals who see their home through different eyes than any guidebook.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm drawn to stories that offer glimpses into extraordinary lives—biographies of innovators, adventurers, and change-makers who've charted unconventional paths.

For music, I appreciate everything from jazz and classic rock to hip-hop and local music from places I've visited. Films that challenge perspectives or transport me to different worlds always catch my attention—especially international cinema that offers cultural insights.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I challenged myself to climb Mt. Fuji overnight through a storm of alternating rain and snow, pushing through exhaustion and doubt to witness a breathtaking sunrise from the summit. That journey taught me more about resilience than any book could—and reminded me that the most difficult paths often lead to the most spectacular views.
