Hello! I am a single mother to a young boy. We are a joyful pair, very engaging, and are growing our family roots in exciting, fulfilling experiences. I have always been a traveler, unafraid of the unexpected, gratefully anticipating every moment given. Now that my life has so changed as a mother, I am determined to embrace the future with the same grateful anticipation that I've always set out with... I'm hoping to make friends, get to know new places, and explore possibilities. I am a sincere Christian (Protestant) and I'm pretty domesticated, to put it one way- my values are important to me. I love people and nature.

I'm on the other side of a dark cloud. It's time to enjoy people, places, and positive living again. I want my son to grow comfortable with travel, good diversity, and interesting experiences in all kinds of places while keeping him safe and wholly well-nurtured. More than that, I hope to find the next best thing for us.

Interests

Well, now that I'm a mother (and loving it) some of my interests have taken on new forms, or are in a kind of limbo... There are no rock concerts for the breast feeding mom, for example. I will always love getting out in nature. I appreciate the unpopular, like mom-n-pop shops and lesser-known nooks in lesser-known towns. I appreciate conversations with any one. I am an artist and musician and love the opportunity to create alongside others. I try to live compassionately, aware of others. I'm interested in doing whatever it takes to be the best mother I can be.

Oh Sufjan Stevens, you genius. Douglas Adams, you slay me! ... Let me be honest here, I love some things a lot and otherwise, try to disconnect from media. Many many movie/actor references will be completely lost on me, even music and literature references... I want my own spirit and mind to be as "organically" inspired as possible.

I've seen those who claim to be "open-minded" or accepting of all people, alienate specific people all the same. Be ready to throw your arms around the backsliding bloke with green hair, a boyfriend, piercings, tattoos, the whole nine on taboo living... And at the same time, love the reserved young lady who wears a long denim skirt, goes to church, abstains, enjoys innocent fun... It is best not to have a double standard. If you would love diversity, love even the plainest, the simplest, the unpopular.
