New to the world of travel I have been living/working in Melbourne and dreaming of the world abroad. I have been gradually developing a skill set ready for the mountains of Canada and the USA.
I spend most of my free time rock climbing with a bit of hiking, cycling and general outdoors fun. I have made Mt. Arapiles my second home.
When I'm not out adventuring I like to relax with a good book or watch interesting documentaries. I like to meet new and inspiring people and get a taste for other's lifestyles.
I love cats, dogs and just about any other animals. I'm a vegetarian, but not preachy or offended by others eating meat
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Its an invaluable way to meet new people and truly experience a new country or city. I want to experience the places I travel how the locals do and get some real insight into new places to visit.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy an eclectic range of music from the bands like Tame Impala, The Mars Volta, Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Miles Davis, Muddy Waters, Dark Throne, Mayhem Death Grips, Hella and classics like Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd
More recently I have been watching mostly climbing films like the Reel Rock series, Meru and other documentaries like Going Clear, Man on Wire, Inside Job, Exit through the Gift shop and The Cove.
Classic films like the Godfather, Fight club, Leon the Professional, 8 1/2, Casino, Prisoner, No Country for Old Men, Big Lebowski, Dr. Strangelove. The list is endless
I can't stop reading mountaineering books like Into Thin Air, Touching the Void, Between a Rock and a Hard Place Book and anything Reinhold Messner related.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Multi Day hiking adventures in New Zealand with the best friends I've ever had. We did a route called 'Dragon's teeth' it was an alpine hike through some challenging terrain and was an amazing experience that tested endurance and was extremely rewarding.
Included a bonus hitch hiking adventure with a New Zealand bee keeper (New Zealanders are super friendly)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can help out around the house. Gardening, cleaning, etc. Don't mind a bit of hard work.
