I work as a wine importer, selling my wines all over the UK to wholesalers and restaurants. Romantic it might sound, it is certainly great fun, but I don't spend all my time drinking wine or around the world visiting wineries. Okay I do get to do that quite a bit but most of my time is on the road, trying to sell the wine in a very competitive market. Seriously, there's not that many people who regularly drink wine at more than £15 a bottle!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
All of the above, it sounds great fun, which it is, but it ain't well paid fun. Most of the cost of your bottle of wine goes to the Gov't as taxes...
I love walking in the countryside, I love sailing, I occasionally spot rare birds, I devour books, my recent obsession is naval history, i hoard general knowledge, I adore cocktails, wine (obviously). I have also run a gin distillery!
