I'm 76 years old and blind, but have some useful vision. Otherwise able-bodied and in good health.

I'm very serious minded, but tolerant and not critical.. I don't mind the company of young people, if they can behave in a more-or-less mature way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I live in a place where very few travelers stop. But if you're ever stuck, I have a little apartment you can sleep on the floor. I try to help people whenever I can.

Interests

Reading modern serious fiction, not genre-type. Baseball, and birdwatching when I had good eyesight. Now I'm a bird-listener.

Music, Movies, and Books

A very narrow range of music. I doubt if I will care for what you like. Music and movies have gotten very bad in the last decade, but there are a lot of very good new fiction writers out there.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to about 130 countries. Since I turned 75, I've been in six former Soviet republics, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Australia, Japan.
