About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm an active and healthy twenty-three year old, currently out of college and back to work. I was originally pursuing a career in science, but am still more interested in joining the Canadian military so I am currently focused on that.
I can get along with pretty much anyone I need to and don't cause drama. I don't get a lot of free time, so if I do I want to spend it having a good time (think rock climbing, white water rafting/kayaking, learning to mountain bike, spontaneous long bicycle rides to nearby towns, camping under desert stars...). I love weight lifting and running- spring and summer weekends are often spent driving to races or events.

PHILOSOPHY

Doing anything is better than nothing. I don't watch TV, because I would rather be out living my life than watching others live theirs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I like meeting new people, and as I am having to do some more travelling this year,
figured I may as well give couch surfing a try.

Interests

Boxing, biking, horse back riding, travelling, pumping iron at the gym, running,, x country skiing, hunting, fishing, trying new things, health and fitness, biology, hiking, reading, and character building.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One trip that will always stay with me was my first international trip across the US and to Juarez, Mexico. I worked with a team staying in a village just out of the city, and spent a week building a home for a family without one. We slept on the floor of a church about a five minute walk from the work site. Around us, there were people living out of shacks rigged from cardboard, scrap wood, whatever they could find. It was an awesome experience, especially because some good came from it. Ever since then, one of my goals in life has been to become more involved in hands on philanthropy. When I am finished my degree, I would like to travel more and work with CIDA.
