About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To visit, learn and live

ABOUT ME

I think I'm a quite open and warm guy that isn't too shy to discover new things. I'm respectful of others and am always open to learn new stuff. And yes, I think most of my friends would say I'm REALLY fond of food!

PHILOSOPHY

"The best comes in at the end". This means for example that when I eat, I leave the best bit for the last bites of the meal. It's just a better way to finish it!

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

by meeting, sharing, learning, having fun, ...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My former room-mate used to host some people. This whole CS-thing became quite a revelation to me. I eventually surfed in Istanbul and I've got to admit that without this platform my stay there would've been quite different. All the people I've met, the experiences I had there, ... I owe a lot of memories to CS :)

Interests

- Food (Yes I admit) - Belgian Beer (the best there is in the entire world) - Belgian, European, International Politics (I'm one of those guys that can't get enough of it) - Sharing great moments with other people - Reading - Listening to good music - Football (Red Devils for World Cup 2014!) - ...

Music, Movies & Books

I'm a really big music-lover. I played several instruments (Oboe, piano, djembe, ...) and I DJ'ed as well. I'm quite open to a lot of genres but if I have to pick some in specific I would say Drum and Bass, Dreamy ambient music and classical music.

Lately I've been reading some stuff as well. Mostly non-fictional books on politics, history, economics, etc. I really suggest you read Tomas Sedlacek, that guy literally revolutionised my thoughts on economics and the global economy.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

My stay in Istanbul for sure. What an amazing city. Got to know a lot of fun people!

Teach, Learn, Share

So much to learn... but if I really have to pick things then I would say that I would love to know more about Europe (it NEVER gets boring), Asia and Northern Africa. And of course about food, geography not being a determining factor here btw.

I could share a lot about Belgium & Brussels. At first this could seem really strange (and some would even say boring) but one could be surprised what such a teeny tiny country could contain.

Countries I've Visited

China, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Morocco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sri Lanka, Turkey, United Kingdom

Countries I've Lived In

Belgium, China, Turkey
