Overview
About Me
I study linguistics and no, I have no idea what I will do once I'm done (common question). I live between heaps of books and a growing collection of plants. Unless forced to wake up early, I tend to be a nice and attentive person who enjoys a cup of coffee, pondering on the important issues of life (and also on very insignificant ones), and clumsily strumming some chords on my girlfriend's guitalele.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Rushing from one tourist attraction to the next is not my thing. It seems to me that getting to know a country doesn't really work this way: It works much, much better if you take your time and get to know the people who live in it. And it's way more fun!! :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went to Ecuador even though I'm very, very afraid of flying. 10/10 would do again.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can explain why "good" and "blood" are pronounced differently (Great Vowel Shift! Fun topic! ;) I might also be able to tell you why your house plant is dying because I've been struggling with a few untimely deaths myself - still in the process of comprehending them all though, so no promises.
