I'm Janik, 20 years old and at the moment I still live in my parents house in a small village called "Niederbergstraße". Guess you haven't heard it before, that ain't a problem, because not even my friends believe that it's a village and not a street. It's quite rural here so I wouldn't call myself a "big-city-kid" but neither I would describe me as a typical farmers boy who loves driving around with the tractor. I do like mechanical stuff and fixing things ( matches with my apprenticeship as industrial mechatronics ), but I also like to watch some videos, read a book or just hang out and listen to some cool music. Also I love traveling; in my early years I often went to Italy or Spain with my parents but not further, but I really would like to see some great places on our planet as long as it's possible for me. Therefore Couchsurfing opens up great opportunities and that's why I am here. At last I would say that I am a very relaxed person you won't have any trouble with.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I said before, I would like to see a lot of great places in the world (at the moment I'm saving for a trip to South America with some friends after my apprenticeship) and I think Couchsurfing is a great way to get in touch with local people who probably know the area better than some guidebooks. Also it's nice to have a roof over the head by night, haha.

Interests

After work I spend my time either with doing sports ( playing tennis or going to the gym ) or mostly by hanging out with my friends, talking about god and the world. I really like cooking, my father is a passionate cook too and that's why we have a good equipment at home that makes it easy to try out new dishes from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment I usually listen to hip-hop ( more the older classic hip-hop ) or reggae. Also I like hearing some house music when we are going to the club to party yeah yeah.

In the past I only read "Harry Potter". Every book several times, it was a great experience every time !!! :D Today I like reading Dan Brown or the books from Jo Nesbø.

I like watching films with a great story or a great end. My fav's are: "The Shawshank Redemption", "City of God" , "Se7en" or "K-Pax".
