Liverpool to Tokyo by trains and ferries :)
Hi, I'm Janis :) I love to travel, without plans or ties. I love, even more, to meet like-minded, laid back people. I'm a straight forward person and generally go with the flow of life. I love the quite of the countryside, but appreciate the vibes and architecture of a beautiful city. I want to meet genuine folk. I like a drink and a laugh but I'm not looking to spend all my money on booze! I want experiences I will remember when I'm an old lady :)
LIVE until you die.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am travelling so I have just met some people from CouchSurfing. Soon I hope to do some language exchange, and when I return to England I will host my first guest!
So far, I have met up with some fellow CouchSurfers and had some very spontaneous days!
I love travelling, of course :) I'm happiest when I'm somewhere green! I love walks in the countryside; anything in nature. But in the city, I love good architecture, the presence of history, old cobbled streets, alley ways with character and beautiful parks with beautiful flowers and a pond to sit infront of. I like having a good cup of tea (or glass of wine!) with friends :) And I'm passionate about yoga- sivanada yoga.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I adore Björk- her mind and her music :) Massive Attack, Elbow, Amorphous Androgynous, Amon Tobin, Fleet Foxes, Florence and the Machine...
I read all the time, but ones that stick in my mind are Kafka on the Shore, Shadow of the Wind, Angel's Game, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, The Bell Jar, Peerless Flats, Voyage into the Dark, The Power of One.
Films... I don't watch much TV, but I don't dislike movies. I just never have the chance to see them! If I were to watch a movie though, it would have to be either something beautiful / sometng challanging / something that will change the way you think or just something funny (like kids animation movies~ Toy Story and the like!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't think I can pick one thing as the most amazing thing I've seen or done, mainly because I get so much out of everything I do. Every country has its fond memories for me for different reasons. But, I'd say that my passion is being abroad, seeing the world- all of it!

Teach, Learn, Share
I love to share any yoga techniques or knowledge that I have and also to learn any that's on offer! I can help to teach someone English whilst I'm in Japan, maybe we could do language exchange...? Also, I'd love to give any advice on any of the countries I've been to if you are planning to go there!
