"Give up defining yourself — to yourself or to others.
You won't die. You will come to life. And don't be concerned with how others define you. When they define you, they are limiting themselves, so it's their problem. Whenever you interact with people, don't be there primarily as a function or a role, but as the field of conscious Presence. You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I registered in 2012 when I searched for a host in New York. Before joining the community I stayed at hostels or guest-houses during my travels. So I wrote to dozens of people in NY, but the problem was that I had a typical 0/0 profile. So I only got one response - negative. I went to a hostel again and had lost my interest.
Through my internship in Qatar I discovered the Couchsurfer community there. I got back on-track and fall in love with the whole idea. I hosted a lot of awesome people coming to Qatar. Since then every contact was highly enjoyable for me.
I want to host everybody who contacts me. A real contact counts a lot more than preselecting people based on their amount of references, profile views, gender etc. Just make sure you read my couch profile ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll just tell you about my biggest guilty pleasure movie of all time.
The fifth element. The movie has everything that you want to see from a good pop sci-fi flick. Real alien language, mild nudity and sexiness, stupid and exciting plot with freaky actors from start to end, French designer clothes, big fucking guns, fast, rich and colorful images, Milla Jovovich doing her kick-everyone-in-the-ass thing and Bruce Willis at the height of his action star career.
A European film made in Hollywood, which has the special 90s blockbuster feeling and is still a pleasure to watch after a dozen times.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watching a sunset in a little village on the greek island of Santorini together with a beautiful greek girl.
Standing on a high sand dune in the moroccan sahara and looking into the glimmering distance.
