CURRENT MISSION

I am traveling the United States with a friend after having finished a quarter of studying in San Diego. Our trip will take us to the southern states, where we hope to find the real America.

ABOUT ME

Hey,my name is Jan-Philipp Brauchle and I am 23 years old. Born in Germany and raised near Ulm (by Munich) I now study in Bayreuth in Germany. My Majors are Philosophy and Economics. For the last 4 months I have lived and studied at the UC San Diego and am now travelling the USA.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Hosting, surfing, activities... there’s a lot to do here. What’s your favorite way to get involved?I just recently heard about Couchsurfing. Since I am travelling in the USA at the moment, I would love to stay at interesting places to meet new people and share great experiences. Once I am back home, I can also contribute to CS by hosting travellers from all over the world!

What do you like to do in your free time?In my free time I enjoy Sports and Activity!! I love to play soccer or just go out with friends. Further hobbies would be reading and travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to?I like good movies. I dont really care about the genre, although I 'd say I really enjoy comedies. Bookwise, I like to read well-told stories with a historic touch to them. I love to listen to old music from the 50s to the 70s... my favorite artists are Bob Dylan, the Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and these kind of bands. But if I go out at night, I also listen to contemporary music.
