Hello everyone! :) My name is Jasmyne. I was born in Shanghaï. I got adopted at 22 months by a Quebec family . As you can see, I was influenced by Quebec culture. So my first language is French. I have a big sister and big brother from Quebec .I am a person who loves to laugh and loves to make people laugh .

When I was in elementary school , my parents enrolled me in a private school.During those years, I had a lot of learning difficulties. Luckily , I had the support needed to succeed my prmaire and high school. Despite my difficulties, I always knew I wanted to become an elementary school teacher . So I can say today I realized one of my dreams is to become an elementery school teacher.Besides, one of my dream is to become a special education teacher to then open my own clinic and help students with learning difficultés. Currently, I am journeying to get my bachelor's degree in elementary education.

During my youth, I went to Disney World in Florida , In others, I went with my family in Mexico and I toured Quebec in the car with my parents. In 2013, my mother and I took a tour and we went to Amsterdam , Berlin, Prague , Budapest, Holland and Belgium. I enjoyed this trip and I made some great encounters. Despite the fact that this trip was very organized in the evening I had the chance to leave my side to discover these places in good company. The trip was an enriching experience from every point of view and above all it made me want to travel alone.

Also, I am a person who has a healthy lifestyle. I do not have the bad habit of smoking or drinking. I am a person who really enjoy the meal with friends and family . Despite the fact that I work a lot , I like cooking . I love discovering food elsewhere. I 'm not sure if it's due to my genes , but my favorite dishes are asian foods .

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For me travel is the best way to open up to the world. I love traveling to discover new places and meet new people . Although I have not traveled alone around the world , I believe that travel allows us to know us better and to enrich our internal culture. I want to introduce my culture and pay it forward. In others, I would like to improve my English and maybe even learn to know my native language : French. I would like out of my comfort zone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was young, the director had told me I 'd never succeed my secondary . Today I can say I passed my baccalauréat (university). Besides, I was able to help 16 students with learning difficulties in one single year.
