I love learning languages, and love to travel, especially to warmer places during the Alaska winter. Here in Alaska I have a micro-winery ( www.sweetgalewines.com ) where I make wine from local berries that I forage or buy from local famers, and honey from my 20 beehives.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now it's because I'm traveling to Mexico in January 2023 for an intensive "Spanish immersion" program to improve my language skills, and the institutes I've inquired with either "aren't offering" home stays right now, or do have home stays but they are all full. So I thought I would try connecting with local people and hopefully practicing my Spanish through a couch-surfing home stay.

Interests

I love hiking and being out in nature. I grow lots of berries and have 20 beehives, and make many different types of wine based on berries and honey. I enjoy running several times a week.
