About Me

To check out Humbolt CA and if it's cool, live there

Jason was born second son to a second son, which has little to no prophetic value. He is an all around DIY kind of dude, he would rather fix or make something than buy it, he avoids consumerism, he believes in living in harmony with nature (as much as one can given the particular parameters of any given system) and feels that the acquisition of wealth is a means, not an end.

I am a metalhead hippie and a bellwether. I adhere to logic, reason and have a naturalistic world view. I do not believe in myths or the supernatural and I am proud to be an Atheist by choice. By default I would be an Agnostic Deist.
I realized that all we, as people can really know is what we can observe in the natural world, the supernatural world that we can not observe is irrelevant if it even exists. Since there has never been a single thread of evidence to support the supernatural I abandoned Agnosticism and became an Atheist.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been couch surfing and taking in couch surfers long before I ever heard of this site.

I have many years of couch surfing experience and hope to have many more.

First and foremost, I am a musician. The instrument with which I am most skilled is the guitar.
I like gaming (been gaming since I was in the 5th grade), I am talking about paper and pencil D&D, and other d20 games like Star Wars and Modern style. I don't do LARPing, its kinda silly and maybe even a little lame.

Music, Movies, and Books

Tao Te Ching, The Hobbit, Siddhartha, A Game of Thrones, On the Road, The Hedge Knight I and 2, I also used to enjoy reading cheesy Conan novels (and probably still would enjoy them if I had some new ones) and I love graphic novels the most, my favorites are Hammer of the Gods series by Michael Avon Oeming and the Hellboy series by Mike Mongolia (I was down with it way before the movies).

Black Sabbath, Rob Zombie, Prong, Dozer,Beethoven, Nightwish, Fireball Ministry, Monster Magnet

Hellboy, The Incredibles, The Red Violin, Quills, Terminator 3, Batman Begins, The Razor's Edge, Idiocracy

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I built a guitar from a tree that was knocked over by a tornado.

I was struck by lightning and was uninjured.

The first time I stepped on stage to play a set was an amazing feeling.

Teach, Learn, Share

Lesson 1. Don't be a greedy close minded dick.

Lesson 2. Make lots of friends.

Lesson 3. The world is not really made up of assholes, sometimes it may seem like it though but there are cool people out there.

Anyone have anymore lessons?
