Teach the world about Mezcal :)
I believe we can make the world a better place by opening our homes, our hearts, and our lives. It enables us to open our minds and welcome the knowledge that people from different cultures offer. This way we can create deep and meaningful connections that cross oceans, continents and cultures.
What traveling does to one is that if we are shy, we begin to talk more. If we are brash, we begin to listen. And by witnessing other lives, we open up to possibilities that we were once blind to.
The biggest risk in life is not taking one at all. When I die I expect to see my life passing by like some sort of documentary, this better be a good one.
A long time ago Jack Kerouac had a dream about a rucksack revolution making the world a better place, we can still make it happen! The big, luxurious, corporate lifestyle can go to pish, let's do it!
Some Kerouac quotes I really like:
"It always makes me proud to love the world somehow- hate's so easy compared."
"Finding Nirvana is like locating silence."
"Ah, life is a gate, a way, a path to Paradise anyway, why not live for fun and joy and love or some sort of girl by a fireside, why not go to your desire and LAUGH..."
"They have worries, they're counting the miles, they're thinking about where to sleep tonight, how much money for gas, the weather, how they'll get there - and all the time they'll get there anyway, you see."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Whichever way I can, I believe that when you don't know where you're going, any way will get you there. So when my place happens to be on your way I'd be glad to be of anyhelp.
Thusfar I've always been able to use friends of friends' couches; always a good experience. Haven't had the pleasure to welcome people through CouchSurfing yet.
Languages, traveling, people, new cultures, books, films and I enjoy a drink every now and again.
