Hi there! My name is Jasper. I'm a kind, relaxed guy living in Antwerp, Belgium (the flemish speaking part).

For work I'm a 3D animation artist working in video art & architectural visualisation. In my spare time i like to meet friends, go to bars, party, dance, play tabletennis, read/study & watch films.

I've only been outside of Europe once when I was 12. Now that i've seen a good part of Europe & especially Berlin, it's time for some real travelling! :)

Now that I'm travelling to Thailand for a month and going solo for 2 weeks for the first time I think this is the perfect time to give it a shot.

I like to meet new people, experience/learn new things, eat things I've never eaten before & so on

I'm very intrigued by this concept called 'sonder' and i quote:
"the realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk."

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

Tall Ships Race 2010 was the most amazing experience i have had. I did some sailing when I was younger, sailing with a dinghy, but this was something else.
That year a storm blew over the North Sea and it lasted almost the whole race. I can not forget the amazing view of a few dozen tall ships taking off for the race, all storming towards dark clouds gathering above!

We were on a smaller racer called the Tomidi and the waves began to rise up to maybe 6-8m. Sailing through these waves, steering this boat with the little experience that I had, was truly exhilarating.

Oh BTW, i almost died twice during this race, but you'll have to ask me for the full story ;)
