ABOUT ME

I love traveling, backpacking and generally getting away from it all. I've lived and traveled all over the world, but have found a steady home-base in The Hague of late. But I'm always restless. Always want to see new things. I run my own business these days, I spend a lot of time on outdoorsy sports and at the gym, and when I can I find time to travel and meet new people.

But that's enough about me, tell me about you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I moved to South Korea, I was the ambassador for Suwon. A smaller city south of Seoul. Organizing the local community was an incredible experience, and I've met so many amazing people during my time there. Other than that, I've hosted I don't know how many surfers over the years and always try to stay close with the local community through meet-ups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The best time couchsurfing I had was before I even knew what Couchsurfing was; hitch hiking to Morocco - and ended up with a French couple on the first night, just past Paris. We played Jazz music, talked, late into the night. And the trip only got better from there on out!

Interests

Some of the things outside of myself that I care about are true freedom of speech, the environment and animal rights. I regularly identify with being a humanist, though I'm not very involved with that.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music varies from old-fashioned jazz and latin to some more modern mellow singer-songwriter tunes to DnB and breakbeats!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled across the middle-east, from Turkey to Nepal. Met amazing people, saw great hospitality, and lost a -lot- of weight. ;-)
