About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to try crazy and adrenaline explosive things the world can offer. Try sky diving and taste the clouds (just curious how they taste), see the beauty of deep seas (diving at Tubbataha Reef is first on my list). Travel as much as I can!

ABOUT ME

Physically, Im standing at 176cm (about 5'9" I think) and weighing 61kg (more or less 134lbs) and a typical Asian looking guy.

Im usually a you-can-drag-anywhere kind of a person, especially for my friends. And if my schedule permits, I tend to act like Dora the explorer and roam around. :p

I want to meet and interact with a diverse group of people and learn through them and with them. Learn and experience different cultures, eat all sort of food and try different nerve wracking activities (to hopefully awaken my adrenaline-pumped up persona).

PHILOSOPHY

When it comes to philosophy in life, I normally think of this particular quote from William W. Purkey

“You've gotta dance like there's nobody watching,
Love like you'll never be hurt,
Sing like there's nobody listening,
And live like it's heaven on earth.”

In short, live life to the fullest.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As of now, my couch is not available for hosting but hopefully in the future I can invite people in. Right now, Im planning on joining some CS events to interact with other members and learn more about how CS works. I can also hangout with other members or join their tour around the country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I only learned about couchsurfing just a month ago and the potential of interacting with different people on a global scale is really amazing.

Its not really a couchsurfing activity but I did join some immersion activities wherein we go to places, usually a tribe or an ethnic group in the mountains and/or rural areas, and live with them for several days (about 3 days but mostly just a weekend activity). During our stay, we teach them how to read, write and provide some livelihood assistance (usually livestock) but in return we get to live with them in their normal day-to-day activities, eat what they eat and experience their culture (basically living the way they do).

Interests

These are some of the things that usually excites me (sometimes even makes me drool :p)

-- snorkeling
-- riding an air balloon
-- parasailing
-- white water rafting
-- bungee jumping
-- trekking
-- ziplining
-- eating out

There are some activities that I would love to try like (drooling!):
-- diving
-- sky diving
-- paragliding
-- cliff climbing
-- surfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Im into sci-fi and fiction movies, out of this world plot, futuristic and detective themes. I also like rom-com (romantic comedy) ones as well as martial arts movies and documentaries.

When it comes to music, I love the sounds of the 90s. I think that's the golden age of music (just my opinion).

With books, normally Im into sci-fi, fiction, fantasy, young adults, mysteries, thrillers, horror and graphic novels. In short, I love reading. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

DONE: I guess immersion and volunteer projects that Ive participated, wherein we lived with the locals for days and try to teach them things while learning their way of life.

SEEN: Seeing the marine creatures in their natural habitat. You'll be amazed with the paradise underwater waiting to be seen.

EXPERIENCED: There's this weird instance where I feel like flying then saw myself sleeping in my bed (which by the way freaks me out!).

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything that I can share with other, be it a personal experience or something related to IT. I'll share whatever I can.

I love to be exposed to diversed culture. And Im always eager to learn about other culture and their ways.
