Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm an emergency nurse who loves to travel and take on any activity that involves living in a tent or on a boat. I strive to find a balance between my career ambitions and my sense of adventure and while I love my job working in a regional trauma centre can be mentally tough and unforgiving. I use travel and back-country trips as my escape and a time to focus on the present and to regain some perspective and that's when I'm at my happiest. I love the freedom and challenge of traveling solo and am up to try just about anything at least once!
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I love meeting locals wherever I go because no one can show you the true spirit of a place and the best kept secrets like a local! I'm new to couchsurfing as I was recently introduced by a friend and I'm looking forward to getting started. I tend to travel alone and love spending time with new people but I'm also a pretty independent traveler and totally content to do my own thing. Whatever works better!
Centres d'intérêt
For the most part I love any activity that puts me outdoors. I'm an avid hiker, sailor and canoeist and recently got hooked on sea kayaking as well. I love the feeling of being in an unfamiliar place and being immersed in the history and culture of wherever I am.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I spent 7 weeks sailing to Halifax on a tall ship when I was fifteen. From day one I was hooked and spent the next five years working on the ships.
